Welcome to Blackout support. Here you can find information about the app, our policies, and how to contact us.
Blackout is a social app for nightlife. Discover parties near you in real time, share photos and videos of your best nights, and connect with your crew. Parties are temporary: photos and videos posted inside a party disappear when it ends.
How do I create an account?
Sign in with your Apple ID. You must be 18 or older to use Blackout.
How do I delete my account?
Go to your Profile, tap the settings (gear) icon, then "Delete account". All of your data is permanently removed.
How do I report inappropriate content?
Tap the report button on any post or user profile. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
How do I block a user?
Go to the user's profile and tap the block option. Blocked users cannot see your content or interact with you.
Why does the app need my location?
Blackout uses your location to show parties near you on the map. Location is only used while the app is open, never in the background.
Why does the app ask for my contacts?
Only if you choose "Sync contacts", to find friends who already use Blackout. Phone numbers are used just for that match and your address book is never stored.
Why does the app need camera access?
To capture photos and videos at parties. You can revoke this permission anytime in your device settings.
